I am a research scientist manager at Meta AI (formerly Facebook AI). My interests are generally in artificial intelligence, with focus on natural language processing, and machine learning. My team builds central content understnading services that are built on top of large foundational models (i.e. Transformers, today). We examine wide variety of topics, including but not limited to model scaling , pretraining, as well as efficient fientuning. The team is expanding, so feel free to send me an email if you are interested.
Before joining Meta (Facebook) I was in Apple working on question answering for Siri where we developed models that provided answers to millions of users. Prior to that, I was in Microsoft Research, where our team researched, designed and shipped new AI experiences across multiple products, including Bing, Outlook, and Dynamics. Our work was featured in many media outlets including TechCrunch and VentureBeat, and our papers were published in many conferences. You may find the full list below.
I received my PhD in computer science and engineering with minor in statistics from The Pennsylvania State University where I was working with Lee Giles on CiteSeerX, and other related projects.
